Ticks
Ticks are eight-legged ectoparasites that live on the outside of their host. Commonly found on dogs, humans, and occasionally cats, ticks feed on blood to survive and reproduce. They attach firmly to the skin using specialized mouthparts, often going unnoticed while feeding for several days. Ticks vary in color depending on species and feeding stage, and can grow significantly larger after feeding.
